Tips and Suggestions
• Check with a plumber to be sure that your current system will handle a whirlpool bath.
• A water well or septic tank may not be able to handle the additional capacity.
• Measure your space where the whirl pool bath will be placed.
• Measure the doorway to be sure that the whirlpool bath can be moved into the room or space.
Check under the house to be sure that the floor in the bathroom will be able to handle the weight of the whirlpool bath. They can get extremely heavy (in excess of 1500lbs).
• Try out different models. Get into the whirlpool bath and see how it feels. If the model you are interested in is not available to try out then find one that is a similar style and size.
• Never use bath salts or oils with the whirlpool baths.
• Check with your local government for laws concerning construction work.
• Have a list of reasons for purchasing your whirlpool – less expensive units can provide the same soothing soak as the more expensive units (they just have fewer amenities).
• Check your water heater to be sure that it is large enough to provide enough heated water for the whirlpool bath that you choose.
